
South African Universities’ Application Fees
When applying to a university, you will find that, in most cases, the institution requests that you pay an application fee to secure your application. Here is a list of application fee information for universities in South Africa.
This could range from being free to being R300, depending on the university. International students, however, in most cases have a higher application fee than South African citizens.
University of South Africa (Unisa)

They offer qualifications in faculties like Accounting Sciences, Agriculture & Environmental Sciences, Economic & Management Sciences, Education, Human Sciences, Law, Science, Engineering & Technology, Graduate Studies and Graduate School of Business Leadership.
The application fee at Unisa is R120 for an online application.

Tshwane University of Technology
Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) is a university in South Africa where the three technikons decided to merge into one. The technikons were, Technikon Northern Gauteng, Technikon North-West and Technikon Pretoria.
They offer qualifications in the following faculties: Arts and Design, Economics and Finance, Engineering and the Built Environment, Humanities, Information and Communication Technology, Management Sciences and Science.

University of Pretoria
University of Pretoria (UP) is located in Gauteng and offers qualifications in Economic and Management Sciences, Education, Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology, Health Sciences, Humanities, Law, Natural and Agricultural Sciences, Theology and Religion and Veterinary Science.
UP’s application is R300 but, if your household income is below R150 000 per year, its free

University of Witwatersrand
University of Witwatersrand (Wits), is located in Johannesburg, Gauteng. They offer; Commerce, Law and Management, Engineering and the Built Environment, Health Sciences, Humanities and Science.
Wits application fees is R100 for South African Citizen but, R700 for foreign citizens.
