Children & Young People’s Practitioners – Residential & Community Settings

You will lead on plans to support their health, education, social, and day-to-day needs along with a specialist strand of work i.e. promoting sports, culture and arts (SCAs). This is an important and significant role in helping young care leavers thrive and fulfil their potential.
Please note that only women are eligible to apply for the Residential Practitioner position at their all-female unit, under Section 7(2) (b) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975.

Residential Team Manager
Do you have?
- At least 5 years’ experience of social work in Children’s Services: including child protection, care proceedings and looked-after children, while undertaking the full range of social work tasks with children in need and their families.
- Experience of bringing together and co-ordinating the team around the child to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to safeguarding, as well as Assessment, Planning, Implementation.
- Ability to promote an inclusive culture of co-design that best enables young people to have their voices heard.
- Passion matched with a commitment to making a difference to young people in care through kindness, collaboration, and creativity.
- Strong values and a commitment to inclusion, diversity and equality.
- The Level 5 Managers’ Diploma – if you do not hold this qualification then they will support you to achieve this within the timeframe set in the Children’s Homes Regulations.
