Opportunities for Youth Employment At SNV

Graduate Intern – Agrifood
Location: Mutare, Zimbabwe
Employment Type: Full-time, Internship

Company Overview:
SNV is a global development organization committed to fostering a world where all people can live with dignity and access equitable opportunities to thrive sustainably. Our work focuses on transforming vital agri-food, energy, and water systems by leveraging our technical and process expertise and fostering partnerships. With over 60 years of experience, we operate in more than 20 countries across Africa and Asia, empowering local communities and promoting sustainable development.

Background:
The African Development Bank reports that over 10 million young people enter the labour market in Africa annually. Despite significant economic growth across the continent, many young people lack access to necessary skills and employment opportunities. This is particularly true for those without foundational education or adaptable skills, making it difficult for them to find meaningful work.

In response, SNV Zimbabwe’s Opportunities for Youth Employment Project Phase II aims to support young people by connecting them with job and entrepreneurship opportunities in agriculture, renewable energy, and other green sectors. Building on the success of Phase I, the project will provide skills and economic opportunities to 11,000 youth across 11 districts in Zimbabwe, including Mutare Urban, Mutasa, and others.

    • Work with the communications team to share these stories through appropriate channels.
