Key Responsibilities

Safeguard Railway property and customer property

Conducting Hand over/ Take over procedures with security personnel of contiguous Railways and completing Cross Border Hand over forms

Liasing with security personnel of contiguous Railways in case of losses in transit

Investigating interrogating challenges and searches/arrests persons found acting suspiciously on Railway property and records observations made during own shift or beat in notebook and reports to supervisor accordingly

Assisting on Train Policing duties by ensuring the safety of Revenue, passengers and rolling stock

Protecting officials and staff proceedings to banks by providing armed escorts

Assisting in Court proceedings as required by attending trials of persons charged with committing crime on Railway property

 

Application for the post must:

Have a minimum of five G.C.E O level passes at Grade C or better

Be between the age of 18-40

Have no criminal record

Have a height of at least 1.68 for men and 1.6m for women

Be physically fit

NB Previous demonstrable experience as drill instructors or commercial crime investigators or experience in the security field shall be an added advantage
