1. LECTURESHIP/SENIOR LECTURESHIP/ASSOCIATE PROFESSORSHIP (6 POSTS)
Department of Finance
POST A (2 POSTS)
Applicants must have at least a Master’s degree in Finance or a related field and must demonstrate the ability to teach, provide university service, supervise and undertake research at the University level, in addition, to promoting entrepreneurship and business development. Candidates with PhD qualifications will also have an added advantage. The successful applicant should be able to research and teach a wide variety of courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A strong orientation toward Financial Econometrics/Quantitative Finance/Financial Engineering/Computational Finance will be an added advantage. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations and theses.
POST B (2 POSTS)
Applicants must have at least a Master’s degree in Financial Computing, Financial Engineering and related fields and must demonstrate the ability to teach, provide university service, supervise and undertake research at the University level, in addition to promoting entrepreneurship and business development. Candidates with PhD qualifications will also have an added advantage. Successful candidates should be able to research and teach at least two courses in Financial Computing, Financial Modelling, Introduction to Information Technology and Programming, Financial Information Systems, and Computer Application in Revenue Management at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In addition, the successful candidates will be expected to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations and theses.
POST C (2 POSTS)
Applicants must have at least a Master’s degree in Fiscal Studies, Economics, International Trade, Customs and Taxes or a related field and must demonstrate the ability to teach, provide university service, supervise and undertake research at the University level, in addition to promoting entrepreneurship and business development. Candidates with PhD qualifications will also have an added advantage. The successful applicants should be able to research and teach at least two courses in International Tax Planning, Tax Law and Practice, Taxation Accounting, Value Added Tax, Customs Law, Customs Management and Reforms, International Economic Integration, Economic and Fiscal Policy, Public Finance/Economics, Policy and Development and Implementation, Multilateral System of Trade and Relations or related courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In addition, the successful candidates will be expected to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations and theses.

Graduate School of Business
Applicants must be able to teach face-to-face and/or online, any one of the following modules offered at Master’s Level.
POST A: Operations Management [1 Post]
Applicants must possess a minimum of an earned Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Degree in Operations Management. Applicants with a 2.1 or better in Production or Operations Management or Engineering at undergraduate level will have an added advantage. In addition, applicants must have at least two years’ tertiary level teaching experience, with a minimum of one single or co-authored publication in refereed journals in Production, Operations Management or Engineering. The successful candidate will be expected to teach post graduate students in Production and Operations Management and to provide academic leadership and guide the School in promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, business development, organisational effectiveness and community engagement. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to supervise postgraduate dissertations. Applicants with practical work experience in industry or commerce and/or extensive consultancy experience in Production and Operations Management will have an added advantage. Applications from holders of an MCom/MSc Degree in Production or Operations Management or Engineering and have evidence that they are PhD students in Production, Operations Management and Engineering and with at least five years’ post-qualification industry experience will also be considered.
POST B: Corporate Governance and Business Ethics [1 Post]
Applicants must possess a minimum of an earned Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Degree in Corporate Governance and Business Ethics. Applicants with a 2.1 or better at undergraduate level in Business Management will have an added advantage. In addition, they must have at least two years tertiary level teaching experience, with a minimum of one single or co-authored publication in refereed journals in Corporate Governance and Business Ethics. The successful candidate will be expected to teach post graduate students in Corporate Governance and Business Ethics and to provide academic leadership and guide the School in promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, business development, organisational effectiveness and community engagement. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to supervise postgraduate dissertations. Applicants must possess practical work experience in industry or commerce and/or extensive consultancy experience in Corporate Governance and Business Ethics and Board Membership. Applications from holders of an MCom/MSc Degree in Corporate Governance and Business Ethics or MCom in Strategic Management & Corporate Governance and have evidence that they are PhD students in Corporate Governance and Business Ethics, Board Membership and with at least five years’ post-qualification industry experience will also be considered.

POST C: Managerial Economics [1 Post]
Applicants must possess a minimum of an earned Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Degree in Managerial Economics. Applicants with a 2.1 or better at undergraduate level will have an added advantage. In addition, they must have at least two years tertiary level teaching experience, with at least one single or co-authored publication in refereed journals in areas related to Managerial Economics or in any areas of Commerce and Management. The successful candidate will be expected to teach post graduate students in Managerial Economics and to provide academic leadership and guide the School in promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, business development, organisational effectiveness and community engagement. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to supervise postgraduate dissertations. Applicants with practical work experience in industry or commerce and/or extensive consultancy experience in Economics will have an added advantage. Applications from holders of an MCom/MSc Degree in Managerial Economics and have evidence that they are PhD students in Managerial Economics, with at least five years’ post-qualification industry experience will also be considered.
POST D: International Management and Trade Policy [1 Post]
Applicants must possess a minimum of an earned Doctor of Business Management (DBM) Degree or Doctor of Philosophy in Finance with a bias towards International Management and Trade Policy and Investment and Portfolio Management. Applicants with a 2.1 or better at undergraduate level will have an added advantage. In addition, they must have at least two years tertiary level teaching experience, with a minimum of one single or co-authored publication in refereed journals in areas related to International Management and Trade Policy and Investment and Portfolio Management. The successful candidate will be expected to teach post graduate students in International Management and Trade Policy and to provide academic leadership and guide the School in promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, business development, organisational effectiveness and community engagement. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to supervise postgraduate dissertations. Applicants with practical work experience in industry or commerce and/or extensive consultancy experience in International Management and Trade Policy and Investment and Portfolio Management will have an added advantage. Applications from holders of an MCom/MSc Degree in Economics or MSc in International Trade, Strategy & Operations and have evidence that they are PhD candidates in Economics/International Trade and with at least five years’ post-qualification industry/commerce experience will also be considered.
