About Young Africa International
Young Africa International empowers young people in Africa by providing them with opportunities to succeed. We are currently working on the Youth Employability Booster project in Nigeria, funded by the Mastercard Foundation.
We are seeking a highly motivated Project Coordinator to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria!
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the Youth Employability Booster project, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Oversee project finances and ensure compliance with Young Africa and Mastercard Foundation regulations.
- Lead and manage the project team in Nigeria, ensuring high productivity and quality implementation.
- Prepare timely and high-quality reports for Young Africa and government agencies.
- Collaborate with project partners and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Register Young Africa as an NGO and vocational skills provider in Nigeria.
- Develop and implement capacity building plans for the project team.
- Ensure project staff adheres to Young Africa’s rules, regulations, and values.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in social sciences or a related field (minimum)
- At least 5 years of experience as a project manager, including financial management
- Minimum 3 years of experience implementing multi-sector humanitarian projects
- Experience registering organizations and starting up new projects
- Proven experience managing TVET-based projects
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to deliver high-quality work in complex environments
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
- Fluency in written and spoken English and a local Nigerian language
