About the Role
The Programme Associate, Online Volunteering supports UNV’s strategic initiatives to enhance online volunteering opportunities globally. Reporting to the Manager of the Regional Office/Chief of the New York Office, with guidance from the Programme Specialist at UNV Headquarters, the incumbent will facilitate the delivery of Online Volunteering services, foster partner engagement, and contribute to knowledge sharing and innovation. This role is instrumental in achieving the objectives of the UNV Strategic Framework.

Key Responsibilities
1. Service Provision and Advisory Support
-Oversee quality review of Online Volunteer assignments and suggest improvements.
-Ensure timely posting and advertisement of assignments.
-Verify and approve partner organization registrations.
-Maintain partner relationships and provide guidance on the platform.
-Assist partners in resolving technical challenges with online volunteering systems.
-Share trends and analytical updates on Online Volunteering.
-Address and resolve Service Desk queries.
2. Business Development and Outreach
-Drive demand for Online Volunteer assignments among UN agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
-Support promotional efforts, workshops, and partner consultations.
-Advocate for integrating Online Volunteering in development and peace initiatives.
-Assist in planning and delivering outreach events and campaigns.
-Help develop innovative Online Volunteering solutions, including hybrid models.
3. Knowledge Management and Advocacy
-Facilitate the sharing of Online Volunteering knowledge and best practices.
-Assist with webinars, visibility materials, and drafting knowledge products.
-Conduct research on digital volunteering trends.
-Support communications teams with storytelling and content creation.
-Enhance team capacity on Online Volunteering tools and methods.
4. Improving the Online Volunteering Offer
-Provide insights for refining corporate strategies and service offerings.
-Suggest improvements for system functionality and user experience.
-Track trends to identify new opportunities for Online Volunteering.
-Contribute to performance reporting aligned with the UNV Strategic Framework.

Qualifications and Experience
Education:
-High school diploma with six years of relevant experience; OR
-Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field with three years of experience.
Experience:
-Proven record in project management, international development, or partnership relations.
-Prior experience with volunteer organizations or UN entities is an asset.
-Experience in developing countries is desirable.
-Proficiency in drafting reports and using corporate software tools (e.g., MS Office, ERP).
Language Requirement:
Fluency in English is mandatory.
