The Role: Planning and Reporting Analyst

Reporting directly to the Deputy Country Representative, the Planning and Reporting Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting strategic program planning, inter-agency coordination, resource mobilization, partnership building, and advocacy and communication. This position is instrumental in making a difference in the lives of women and girls in Liberia.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Planning Support:
    • Contribute to the development of essential planning processes and documents, including the annual workplan, strategic notes, and program/project documents.
    • Actively participate in joint inter-agency UN planning exercises.
    • Monitor and assist in the approval process for changes in the Annual Workplan.
    • Contribute to the development of monitoring indicators, monitoring calendars, field monitoring plans, and quality assurance processes.
  2. Results Reporting:
    • Facilitate internal and external reporting, ensuring that the country office meets all reporting requirements and deadlines.
    • Conduct quality reviews of narrative donor reports drafted by Program Managers.
    • Ensure the timely submission of financial donor reports.
    • Identify pertinent evaluation findings, conclusions, and recommendations, and incorporate them into program reporting.
    • Review progress reports from implementing partners and provide feedback for improved reporting quality and timeliness.
    • Monitor donor agreement approval in the Donor Agreement Management System.
  3. Monitoring and Reporting Contribution:
    • Support Strategic and Bi-Annual Planning, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines and standards.
    • Ensure the timeliness and quality of information and data in periodic country office reporting (quarterly and annually).
    • Provide input into project proposals and plans, guiding the development of results frameworks based on Results-Based Management principles.
    • Coordinate the Country Office’s contribution to the Results Groups’ monitoring, evaluation, and reporting function, including UNINFO data management.
  4. Knowledge and Capacity Building:
    • Identify and disseminate best practices, lessons, and knowledge derived from program implementation, monitoring, and evaluation activities.
    • Provide technical guidance on Results-Based Management (RBM) and Monitoring and Evaluation to program teams and partners, offering practical training as needed.
    • Contribute to capacity development, including tools, training materials, and packages.
    • Facilitate capacity-building opportunities for staff and partners in Results-Based Management (RBM), monitoring, and evaluation.
    • Promote awareness and understanding of the shared responsibility of Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation (PM&ER) among all staff members through communication, training, learning, and development activities.
