Program Coordinator – Ending Child Marriages

Reporting to the Program Area Manager (PAM) and having a direct working relationship with the Gender Technical Lead the incumbent will be providing technical guidance and support to partners working under the Ending Child Marriages project.

Accountabilities

  1. Ending Child Marriages.
  2. Community mobilization and coordination.
  3. Networking.
  4. Sponsorship integration activities.
  5. Child protection and gender equality mainstreaming.

Knowledge

  • A degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies or related discipline from a recognised institute.
  • A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in working with rural communities in community development work.
  • Knowledge of development issues, trends, challenges opportunities and implications to community development.

Skills

  • Proven ability to develop project proposals and concepts.
  • Excellent networking and partnership-building skills.
  • Research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication, coordinating and report writing skills.
