According to the publication, Mliswa was arrested even though he had informed the relevant authorities of his intention. He is currently detained in Karoi.
Mliswa’s arrest comes barely eight days after the legislator was granted $20 000 by a Harare magistrate in a matter that is currently pending before the courts.
He was facing charges of breaking lockdown regulations. Mliswa was arrested after holding a press conference at his house in Borrowdale in a bid to respond to allegations that were made by his ex-lover Susan Mutami.
Among his bail conditions, he was ordered not to hold any press conference until the matter is finalised.
The legislator is currently embroiled in a nasty public fight with Mutami who keeps making headlines after revealing some ‘secrets’. Recently, Mutami sensationally claimed that she is in possession of the legislator’s nudes and bedroom tapes.
However, the 32-year-old health care professional who says that she is 3 months pregnant with Mliswa’s twins said she would not release the adult material for the sake of her unborn twins.
Mutami was involved in a 3-month relationship with the MP and claims to be pregnant with twins.
When making the allegations, Mutami claimed that she was fighting back against the MP, whom she accused of orchestrating a smear campaign against her.
