Mwenezi Development Training Centre (MDTC), a local NGO in Zimbabwe, is recruiting Data Collectors for their El Nino Induced Drought Response and Adaptation (ENIDRA) project in Chiredzi District. This one-year project is funded by USAID.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for collecting and entering data related to the drought response project. This may involve one-on-one interviews, focus group discussions, and working with electronic data collection tools. Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial.
Responsibilities:
- Collect data using interviews, focus groups, and electronic tools.
- Follow sampling methods as instructed by the MERL Officer.
- Organize and record data in a predefined format.
- Update the MERL Officer on progress and any challenges encountered.
- Verify the authenticity of collected data.
- Assist respondents in understanding interview questions.
- Ensure data accuracy through double-checking.
- Enter data when paper forms are used.
- Maintain ethical data collection practices (data protection and confidentiality).
- Participate in debriefing sessions to share field experiences.
- Comply with security protocols.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 Ordinary Level (‘O’ Level) passes, including English Language and Mathematics.
- One year of experience in data collection with an NGO is preferred.
