TECHNICIAN – BIOCHEMISTRY X 1
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma in Applied Biotechnology or Biochemistry.
- At least 2 years of post-qualification working experience in a Biochemistry Teaching laboratory.
- A Higher National Diploma in Biochemistry would be an added advantage.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducting and supervising biochemistry practical to undergraduate students.
- Planning, setting up and undertaking controlled experiments and trials.
- Maintaining, calibrating, cleaning and testing of the laboratory equipment.
- Ordering and maintaining laboratory stock and resources.
- Providing technical support.
- Presenting results to senior staff.
- Writing laboratory reports, recording and analyzing data.
- Carrying out risk assessments.
- Any other job-related duties may be assigned.
Fluid Dynamics Engineer
Qualifications
- First degree in Mechanical/Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering/Automotive Engineering
- MSc/MEng/MTech qualification in Mechanical/Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering,
- A PhD is an added advantage.
- Relevant industrial, teaching and research experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
The candidate should be able to teach at least three (3) of the following modules; Hydraulics and Pneumatic Machines
- Computational Fluid Dynamics
- Turbo Machinery
- Numerical Thermo-flow
- Finite Element Methods.
The candidate must be capable of supervising both undergraduate and postgraduate students’ research work, assess students on Work Related Learning and should be able to teach modules in Mechanical Engineering.
The duties and responsibilities of a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor and Professor are grouped into 5 main categories which are:
(a) Teaching – the incumbent is expected to teach or deliver lectures in accordance to the Department and or Faculty guidelines and standards.
(b) University Service and Community engagement – the incumbent should participate in all Department, Faculty/School and University activities such as attending meetings, training workshops, conferences and seminars, among others.
(c) Research – the incumbent is expected to engage in active research in his/her area of specialization which benefits both the students and the University.
(d) Innovations – leading to tangible products and services
(e) Industrialization –through commercialization of products
