Job Description

As a Lecturer at CAA, you will play a pivotal role in the education and development of CTA and BCTA students. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Engaging Lectures: Deliver engaging and informative lectures to students pursuing CTA and BCTA qualifications.
  2. Resource Preparation: Create comprehensive lecture materials, including presentations, handouts, case studies, and other resources to support effective learning.
  3. Examination Management: Set, review, and evaluate examinations in strict adherence to established standards.
  4. Training Support: Train and guide external examiners and markers to ensure the integrity of the examination process.
  5. Academic Support: Provide one-on-one consultations and guidance to students, addressing their academic concerns, and assisting in their professional development.
  6. Research and Reporting: Conduct research in the field and contribute to academic literature through article writing. Prepare departmental reports to support educational quality.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this position, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Recent qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in Zimbabwe (CA (Z)) or South Africa (CA (SA)).
  • An MBA degree is an added advantage.
  • A diploma or degree in education is also advantageous.
  • Personal Attributes: Strong verbal and written communication skills, a passion for teaching and mentoring, integrity, effective time management, and the ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
