To help break down the barriers that prevent underrepresented groups in technology and business from attending leading conferences, we are excited to offer Google Conference Scholarships for selected conferences in the tech industry and related fields.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Google Conference Scholarships for African Students, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:
- Applicants must be full-time students enrolled at a recognized university in Africa who need conference travel funds.
- Have a paper accepted at a top-tier computer science conference. We prefer to support conferences in research areas where Google has a strong interest. Please visit research.google.com for a list of areas.
- Be the sole or joint first author of the accepted paper.
Application Procedures
How-to-Apply: Please submit this form by the deadline for the conference that you wish to attend. Given the shift to the virtual mode for conferences, we are currently accepting applications to cover conference fees.
