Generations Actress Was Shot 40 Times And Left To Die
Veteran actress, Florence Masebe has once again recounted a chilly incident in the past, which saw her knocking on death’s door.
Florence Masebe is well known for a former role as Thembi, on Generations.
Florence Masebe revealed that in her younger years, she was shot 40 times at her home and left to die.
The assassin, fired between six and eight rounds at her car outside her Bramley Park home in Sandton and the police counted 26 bullet holes on her car.
She had to undergo several surgeries to fix the damage done by the bullets and to save her life.
What made more scary was that, her daughter, who was just 4 years at the time, witnessed her in a pool of blood.
The perpetrator was an assassin who claimed to have been hired to kill cast members of Generations. He later turned himself to the police.
He claimed he was promised R70 000, a town house and a car if he killed several Generations actors.
The actress also suffered a personal tragedy in the past, when her 15 month year old son drowned in 2015.
In 2018 Florence suffered a life threatening infection, but she miraculously managed to pull through.
Despite the up and downs in her in her life, she has managed to flourish in her career and she still remains one of the most respected actress in the industry.
Aside from Generations, Florence Masebe is well known for her role in Muvhango as Humbulani for 5 years.
She has been in 7 de Laan, Scandal, Sokhulu And Partners, Inkaba, Soul City and Ring Of Lies.
She played president Lufuno on The Republic, which features on Mzansi Magic.
