GC Uzalo Actor Khaya Dladla Joins eHostelaEHostela… Get All The Details
Actor, singer and radio personality Khaya Dladla, has once again decided to grace the screen, this time on another hit show.
Khaya Dladla, who was known on Uzalo for his role as fan favorite GC, will now be appearing on EHostela.
Khaya Dladla already made his debut on eHostela last night and he will be playing the character of Nxebale Ndoda.
His character is taking on a more macho role compared to GC on Uzalo where he played a gay character.
It’s also worth noting that Khaya Dladla himself is gay but the actor has stated that playing a gay character on TV is not easy as people think it is.
“Playing a gay character isn’t as easy as people think it is,” he revealed during an interview with Drum magazine.
While Uzalo fans may still be holding out for the return of GC, Khaya Dladla revealed that he is a call actor on the show, meaning he only appears when and as needed by the showrunners.
” I will not be on the show a lot as I will be a ‘call actor’ meaning they will call me when I am needed. I love the show. I have had a great time on Uzalo and a lot of growth has come with being on the show,” he revealed
However there is some comfort in knowing, eHostela is a Stained Glass TV production, meaning it is run by the same executive producers as Uzalo.
The show is currently in its second season.
