The Opportunity
This position works out of our Johannesburg location in the rapid diagnostics division. In this division our rapid diagnostics solutions are helping address some of the world’s greatest healthcare challenges. Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories and clinics around the globe.
The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments and informatics systems are often the first step in patient care decision making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers. Our Point of Care diagnostic portfolio spans key heath and therapeutic areas, including infections disease, cardiometabolic, informatics and toxicology.
As the finance intern you will be instrumental in supporting and assisting the finance department.
What You’ll Do
- Fixed assets tracking – location tracking
- SOX Control – document management
- Quarterly sale representations – Document management
- Pricing – Review product pricing monthly
- Fleet statement summary
- COUPA PO creation
- Vodacom – Account management
- SG&A – Expense actual vs budget preparation – month end activity
- Financial reviews and analysis – for distributor reviews
- Budget reporting template documents and calculations
- Concur – Travel and Expenses management
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BCom) in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Related
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic Computer Skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- NO experience is preferred- i.e the organization is seeking to hire newly graduated candidates.
- Must live in Johannesburg.
- Excellent time management skills, be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Good communication skill.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
- Energetic, highly motivated.
