Zim-TTECH is seeking highly qualified and experienced applicants to fill the position of Database Modeller for the Impilo EHR/CBS program. Zim-TTECH’s activities occur primarily in the technical areas of health system strengthening; epidemiology and strategic information strengthening, health workforce development; operations research and evaluation; prevention, care, and treatment of infectious diseases. Zim-TTECH is funded by PEPFAR through the Center for Disease Control (CDC) to implement Strengthening Epidemiology and Strategic Information in the 44 districts of the Republic of Zimbabwe. Zim-TTECH also implements HIV & TB treatment and care services in five Zimbabwean provinces in support of the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) under the Zim-PAAC (Zimbabwe Partnership to Accelerate AIDS Control) Program. Qualification

  • Computer Science/ IT / Business Information Systems or Equivalent degree
  • 5+ years of hands-on relational, dimensional, and/or analytic experience (using RDBMS, dimensional, MySQL, Postgres, data platform technologies, and ETL and data ingestion protocols)
  • Fluent with Python, SQL, and other programming languages.

  • Technical expertise and knowledge of hardware, software, and programming
  • Basic knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.

Zim-TTECH’s activities occur primarily in the technical areas of health system strengthening; epidemiology and strategic information strengthening, health workforce development; operations research and evaluation; prevention, care, and treatment of infectious diseases.

 

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • A Degree in Social Work, Social Studies, Developmental Studies, or any related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in implementing community-based programs.
  • Demonstrated ability in project design and implementation of AGYW/Health/Social Protection programs.
  • Certified WHO L.I.V.E.S training or previous experience in PEPFAR-supported programs.
  • Experience in working with different stakeholders, preferably including experience in leading coordination efforts.
  • Experience designing and developing programming for youth including adolescent girls and young women.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and leadership.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience  

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Natural Resource Management, Social Sciences, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in household economic strengthening programming.
  • Certified WHO L.I.V.E.S training or previous experience in PEPFAR-supported programs.
  • Experience in working with vulnerable young people in economic strengthening initiatives, in areas such as small-scale crop and livestock production, value-chain development, business development, entrepreneurship, and financial services.
  • Demonstrated experience in community mobilization, organization, management, and mediation among local actors and partner capacity building.
  • Demonstrated experience in training design, delivery, and mentoring in subject matter relevant to this position.
  • Commitment to and understanding of the DREAMS Program’s goals aims, values, and principles including rights-based approaches as they relate to building resilience to obtain better health outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently, think innovatively and strategically and work effectively within a team.

Position Title: Key Populations (KP) Specialist

We are seeking highly qualified and experienced applicants to be considered for the position of Key Populations (KP) Specialist for the anticipated HIV care and treatment program. Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working on international health and HIV/AIDS programs, with at least three years working with KP programs in international or resource-limited settings; specific experience with KP programs in Africa strongly preferred.
  • Master’s degree or higher in public health, social science or another relevant field required. A clinical credential such as MD, nurse, nurse practitioner or physician’s assistant, degree, and/or experience working in clinical settings preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with HIV prevention, care, and treatment approaches.
  • Demonstrated experience in and understanding of issues relating to HIV programming for Key Populations (SW, MSM, TG, and PWID) within developing country settings required.
  • Demonstrated skills in data analysis, program design, strategic planning, monitoring systems, and program coordination and implementation within a developing country context.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation and team building skills, and ability to work across agencies and cross-culturally with diverse teams on sensitive issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel frequently to developing countries and resource challenged settings.
