This comprehensive program is available in English and French, providing a unique chance for startups to gain the skills and connections they need to thrive.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the SAIS Investment Readiness Programme, startups must meet the following prerequisites:
1. Legal Form
- Registration and operation must be within Africa.
- Presentation of a valid certificate of registration is mandatory.
2. Team (Founders)
- A minimum of two team members, ideally working full-time for the startup.
- Founding and management team should possess entrepreneurial and technical expertise relevant to their field.
3. Digital Product/Service
- Development of a viable digital product or service with positive societal impact.
- A product that contributes positively to the African AgTech or FoodTech sector, with a special welcome to applications from the livestock sector. Influence on related verticals like ClimateTech, eCommerce, FinTech, Logistics, EdTech, and others is also considered.
4. Market Access and Traction
- Launch of the digital product at least six months before application submission.
- Provision of evidence demonstrating traction, such as a growing customer base and initial revenue.
