Trade Activations Officer

To support the Trade Marketing arm of the organization through implementation of the Trade Marketing Plan, on Customer on-boarding support activities (Activations) as well as Trade Visibility and Customer Education on newly launched products (implementation of Go to market plans) on all Customer contact points and Trade Shows.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implements the trade marketing plans in relations to trade events using standardized events procedures.
  • Implements Trade Exhibitions for the region and national events such as ZITF, Harare Agric Show and Econet Expos.
  • Guided by the Launch Execution Plan, roll out Activations for all new products, through Road shows, In-store Demonstrations, Staff Market Visits and all other Customer Support activities.
  • Implement Dry-runs for Roadshows before roll-out of full programmes to ensure that they are in line with set communication objectives.
  • Implementation and tracking of actual Roadshows in the region for every product launched.
  • Consolidation of regional and agents road show reports
  • Assist regional teams in implementing In-store Demonstrations and Customer Support Activities.
  • Conducts Trade Audits for all channels to ensure compliance to set standards on product display and support on regional activities, church events, music concerts etc.
  • After every 3 years develop concept and get approval to produce new uniforms for all customer facing touch points across all channels i.e, Staff Uniforms, Vendor and Brand Ambassador’s regalia.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Documents and files departmental minutes, proposals and policies and procedure manuals.

Payroll Assistant 

To ensure efficient and effective processing of salaries and remuneration related payments of Econet Wireless Zimbabwe staff. Maintaining and implementing payroll operations by following Human Resources policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consolidation of payroll input monthly.
  • Assist in payroll processing. Ensures staff payroll claims are processed in line with the company policy.
  • Consolidate and verifies captured payroll input through physical checks and make necessary changes in the system for all input.
  • Extracts, verifies name lists and send for approval and sign off by respective Head Of Department.
  • Process terminations on payroll system and other requisite entries.
  • Process loan applications in line with Policy.
  • Prepare payroll leave administration as per leave returns. Prepares all salary related payments for approval to the Group Payroll Manager.
  • Produces internal payroll reports (i.e., leave valuation report, loans reports, journals, headcount reports.) and forward them to various stakeholders.
  • Prepare and post month end journal entries and payments for third parties i.e., NSSA, WCIF, ZIMDEF, ZIMRA, garnishees, medical aid, funeral scheme, pension fund, and send payment confirmations to the relevant parties.
  • Attends to salary-related queries.
  • Consolidate medical aid inputs for further reconciliation.
  • Liaison with Medical Aid Societies regarding medical reconciliation and queries.
  • Advises company staff on Medical Aid benefit structures.
  • Maintains records of all payroll related documents.
