Overview
As the Manager, Monthly Donor Acquisition, you will be reporting directly to the Deputy Director, Donor Acquisition.
Your primary responsibility will be the implementation and ongoing management of acquisition marketing campaigns aimed at growing UNICEF Canada’s Monthly Giving portfolio.
Strategic Responsibilities
Acquisition & Partnership Management (50%)
- Develop strategies and business plans in collaboration with the Deputy Director, Donor Acquisition for new monthly donor acquisition.
- Manage acquisition campaigns, focusing on Face to Face and Telemarketing channels and programs.
- Lead external partner relationships, including reporting, training, and quarterly program reviews.
- Evaluate and recommend new acquisition opportunities and tactics in partnership with the Deputy Director.
Profitability (20%)
- Manage budgets, including expense management of $5M-$6M annually for Monthly donor acquisition activities.
- Recommend and test new approaches to increase market penetration.
- Deliver analysis of campaign metrics for program optimization and planning.

Strategic & Operational Planning (15%)
- Develop strategies, annual plans, and budgets for the Monthly Donor Acquisition portfolio, focusing on ROI.
- Participate in annual contract negotiation process with external partners.
- Assess and recommend best practices provided by UNICEF Monthly Giving specialists and other UNICEF NatComs.
- Gather industry best practices and implement program improvements through regular sector monitoring and collaboration with global UNICEF colleagues.
Administration and Expense Management (5%)
- Manage quarterly budget planning and reconciliation for non-digital channels.
- Present status updates and participate in performance updates.
People Management (10%)
- Develop and motivate your team to achieve common goals with defined accountabilities aligned with the overall strategy.
- Recruit, retain, and develop an effective and motivated team.
- Conduct goal setting and performance reviews for direct reports.
- Support employee engagement strategies as required.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of five (5) plus years of relevant work experience, including donor acquisition.
- University degree or college diploma in Marketing or a related field.
- Strategic and analytical thinking with financial acumen.
- Familiarity with digital marketing and multichannel direct response marketing campaigns.
- Project management skills and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented individual.
- Keen interest in the work and mission of UNICEF Canada.

Salary Range: $63,500 to $77,500 per year
