District Coordinator Positions Available

Reporting directly to the Provincial Coordinator, the District Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting ZNNP+’s initiatives to bolster community engagement and enhance performance reporting within specific districts and health facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Capacity Building: Empower Community Health Agents (CHAs) on various critical issues, such as Differentiated Service Delivery (DSDs), community dialogues, and psychosocial support.
  2. Treatment Literacy: Collaborate with CHAs to implement a comprehensive guide on treatment literacy.
  3. Service Directory: Develop a comprehensive directory of available services within the district.
  4. Demand Creation: Generate demand for Differentiated Service Delivery (DSD) models.
  5. Treatment Continuity: Provide support to ensure the continuation of treatment for newly initiated care recipients.
  6. Community Dialogue: Conduct community dialogues on various issues to ensure the retention of PLHIV in care.
  7. ART Initiation: Support community ART initiation and treatment literacy.
  8. Membership Development: Facilitate recruitment and retention of new and existing membership in the district.
  9. Child and Adolescent Support: Monitor viral loads for children and adolescents living with HIV, focusing on strengthening enrollment and linkages, as well as providing psychosocial support.
  10. Stigma Reduction: Lead multi-sectoral consultations to address stigma and disclosure, including physical and virtual campaigns to reduce stigma and discrimination.
  11. Peer Support: Support the formation and continuation of peer support groups across the district.
  12. TB and TPT: Scale up community TB and Tuberculosis Preventive Therapy (TPT) demand generation, literacy, and adherence.
  13. Men’s Health: Develop strategies to engage men of all age groups in adopting positive health-seeking behaviors.
  14. Community Leadership: Ensure community leadership, inclusion, and engagement on various issues like EMTCT, non-discrimination, and rights-based approaches.
  15. Reporting and Financial Oversight: Maintain timely submission of work plans and reports, as well as oversee financial transactions and expenditure.
  16. Networking and Collaboration: Foster networking and collaboration among networks of PLHIV, their membership, and key stakeholders.
  17. Strategic Planning: Contribute to organizational and community strategic planning and reviews, and mentor assigned community cadres.

Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in community development with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Prior experience in community participation and health/HIV projects.
  • Strong analytical abilities and understanding of the local context.
  • Cultural sensitivity and empathy with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Experience riding a motorcycle is a plus.
