Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following full-time posts:
The duties and responsibilities of a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor and Professor are grouped into 5 main categories which are:
(a) Teaching – the incumbent is expected to teach or deliver lectures in accordance to the Department and or Faculty guidelines and standards.
(b) University Service and Community engagement – the incumbent should participate in all Department, Faculty/School and University activities such as attending meetings, training workshops, conferences and seminars, among others.
(c) Research – the incumbent is expected to engage in active research in his/her area of specialization which benefits both the students and the University.
(d) Innovations – leading to tangible products and services
(e) Industrialisation –through commercialisation of products
FACULTY OF BUSINESS SCIENCES
- DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTING SCIENCES
Post A: Applied Accounting and Audit & Risk
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor (6 Posts)
Qualification
- A good first degree in Accounting with at least 2.1 pass.
- Master’s Degree in Accounting.
- A relevant Doctorate Degree will be an added advantage.
- Membership to a Professional Board such as ICAZ, ACCA, CPA and CIMA would be an added advantage.
- Experience of teaching at tertiary level is an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate should be able to supervise students’ research, assess students on Work Related Learning, and should be able to teach at least three (3) of the following modules up to master’s level:
- Auditing
- Financial Reporting
- Cost and Management Accounting
- Financial Management
- Public Sector Accounting
- Accounting Data Processing
- Forensic Accounting
