Personal Assistant to the CEO

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage the CEO’s diary, contacts, time management and prioritization of meetings, being aware of committee/meetings cycle, potential conflicts and other work, diary pressures and deadlines.
  • Provide and maintain confidential, comprehensive and effective support and assistance to the CEO.
  • Facilitate meetings and/or events as required.
  • Maintains open communication and work relationships with other employees as required tc clarify the CEO’s requirements and ensure smooth progress and achievement of deadlines.

Qualifications And Experience

Legal Officer

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensures the Commission’s compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Attends to litigation, conciliation, arbitration proceedings on the behalf of the Commission.
  • Provides assistance in and ensures the Commission upholds and practises corporate governance principles and ethics
  • Provides assistance in preparing board meetings and other board secretarial services as directed by the Corporate Services Manager.
  • Handling consumer complaints.
  • Offering legal advice to all the departments in the Commission.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor of Law (LLBs) Honours Degree
  • Registration to practice as a Legal Practitioner in Zimbabwe
  • Membership of the Law Society of Zimbabwe
  • Minimum 2 years post graduate practicing in Commercial and Criminal Law.
  • Understands the principles of Corporate Governance
  • Must be a very competent writer of Minutes, reviewing and drafting legal documents
  • Must have experience in case management, litigation, arbitration and liaising with externa counsel.
  • Proficiency in use of MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and Teams or similar.

Revenue & Levy Officer

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Collect and receipt fines of businesses that have been found to infringe consumer rights
  • Collect and receipt levies from Consumer Protection Organisation, Consumer Advocacy Groups, Consumer Protection Officers, and other stakeholders who in terms of the regulations have to pay levies to the commission.
  • Counts and verifies cash and receipts and submitting the verified amount at the end of each transaction day as is stated on the cash up summary report.

Assistant Procurement Officer

Roles and Responsibilities

  • The incumbent will be reporting to the Procurement Officer and the position exists to provide support in the discharge of procurement duties for the programme. The Procurement Assistant will be expected to adhere to the organization’s rules and regulations governing procurement in all transactions Responsibilities
  • Sourcing quotations, preparing comparative bid analysis, raising purchase orders, getting the documents reviewed and signed by the Procurement Officer;
  • Seeking authorisations where applicable from budget holders in a timely and transparent manner;
  • Making regular follow-ups with Finance to ensure suppliers are paid on time and procured goods are delivered as per agreed timelines;
  • Coming up with a procurement tracker to advise on status of requests and update on clearance reports;
  • Attending to short supplies and rejections and ensuring that rejected goods are exchanged or credit notes received from Suppliers;
  • Updating the Approved Suppliers List by conducting site visits for inspection and analysis of fit and providing accurate and up-to-date information on supplier performance on a quarterly basis;
  • Performing any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Diploma or HND in Procurement; Purchasing and Supply; Logistics or Supply Chain Management or any other relevant qualifications.
  • Membership of a professional body like GIPS, CILT, etc, will be a distinct advantage;
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in procurement.
  • Experience in public sector procurement is a must.
  • Meticulous record keeping and exceptional ability to work fast and accurately under intense pressure with minimum supervision. Computer Skills, including proficiency in Email, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word are essential
  • Excellent organizational, report writing, analytical and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must have a clean Class 4 driver’s licence.

Internal Auditor

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
  • Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans
  • Obtain, analyse, and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc.
  • Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document process
  • Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality, and goal achievement
  • Evaluates and reviews reports on risk management issues and internal controls deficiencies identified for reporting to the audit committee and provides recommendations for improving the organization in line with the strategy for Commission mandate.
  • Reviews the compliance checklist developed by the Internal Risk Office and ensures that all key compliance issues shave been considered for testing in line with approved internal policies and procedures or other external guidelines/ legislature (compliance testing based on applicable national legislature- Companies Act, ZIMRA, etc.)

Qualifications And Experience

  • Proven working experience as Internal Auditor or Senior Auditor
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed report
  • Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and regulations
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Sound independent judgment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/ or Finance; Professional qualifications such as CA, CIS, CIMA, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), etc.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience related to internal audit in the public sector would be an advantage.

Senior IT Officer

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Communicate with vendors, including procurement, maintenance and payment of products and services.
  • Daily maintenance of PCs and laptops, including operating system installation and software configuration.
  • Daily inspection and maintenance of server room.
  • System configuration, user authority management, and corresponding review work.
  • Assist to revise IT SOPs, IT Guide and IT Policy.
  • Monitoring and tracking of incidents.
  • Log, track and escalate related IT issues to the correct entity.

Office Assistants

Roles and Responsibilities

  •  Responsible for floor care, performing various surface tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and spot-cleaning carpets of all office areas and employee lounge
  • Responsible for the maintenance of employee lounge tables, chairs, and counters, carrying out tasks such as dusting, spraying, and cleaning
