Job Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Communication: Ensure timely and effective communication with regulatory bodies such as FIU (Financial Intelligence Unit), ZIMRA (Zimbabwe Revenue Authority), NSSA (National Social Security Authority), and others.
- Clarification: Facilitate clear communication between regulatory bodies and all business units within the organization.
- Screening: Conduct screening of names of new customers, suppliers, and third parties using the World-Check One system.
- Interpretation: Interpret the results of the screening process and communicate relevant information to all business units.
- User Roles: Create and manage user roles for all business units on compliance systems.
- KYC Monitoring: Continuously monitor the KYC (Know Your Customer) systems, including Accuity Compliance Link, for positive and false hits, escalating issues to Level Two Users as needed.
- Sanctions Policy: Generate “false positives” for further scrutiny by Level Two Users in accordance with the Group Sanctions Policy.
- Suspicious Transactions: Analyze and handle suspicious transactions reported by all business units, and upload them onto the GoAML platform.
- Internal Coordination: Set up and coordinate internal meetings for the Compliance Function to ensure effective collaboration.
- Employee Orientation: Provide office orientation for new employees and coordinate team-building activities within the Compliance Unit.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in business management, economics, management, accounting, or a related commerce degree.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in areas such as Compliance, Risk, Audit, Retail Banking, or Banking Supervision and surveillance.
- High-level interpersonal skills to collaborate with employees, managers, company executives, and regulatory authorities.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.
