Our client in Harare is looking for an Account Manager to join their team for a job vacancy within the transport industry.

Job Purpose

Primary role is to drive sales growth and profitability within the assigned region. The incumbent will be responsible for executing sales strategies, building, and maintaining relationships with key customers, and signing up new customers. The focus will be on maximizing revenue, expanding customer footprint, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. Additionally, collaborate with other departments to identify market trends, assess competitive threats, and develop plans to capitalise on opportunities.

Duties and Key Areas of Responsibility

▪ Implement sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets within the region.

▪ Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and channel partners.

▪ Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.

▪ Monitor and report on sales performance and market trends within the region.

▪ Drive the customer acquisition process.

▪ Demonstrate commercial competence and increase customer utilization of both existing and new corridors.

Qualifications and Competencies

▪ Business Management/Project Management/Sales Degree or equivalent.

▪ Additional courses in relevant fields will be an advantage.

▪ Valid Driver’s License and Passport.

▪ Minimum 2 – 3 years of experience in a similar position

▪ Previous experience in a customer and/or consumer focused role

▪ Experience in transport industry advantageous

▪ Excellent communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate with customers, team members, and other stakeholders

▪ Analytical mindset: Ability to analyse sales data and market trends

▪ Results-oriented: Strong focus on achieving or exceeding sales targets

▪ Customer focus: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and relevant stakeholders.

▪ Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs

▪ Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and address sales-related issues effectively

▪ Team player: Ability to collaborate with other departments to achieve sales objectives
