An exciting opportunity has risen with our client, a Food Manufacturing organisation located in Gweru, to fill the position of Stores Controller. All suitable candidates are invited to apply.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting in the development and implementation of inventory management strategies.
- To control and monitor inventory stock counting and accuracy checks.
- To ensure stock is organised and controlled in alignment with the overall goals of the organisation.
- Ensure receipt and proper storage of stock as per company policies.
- To facilitate and organise material/stock availability for clients (internal and external).
- To ensure adequate stock supply levels and storage spaces.
- To compile inventory and material reports.
- To ensure compliance to control measures and resolve discrepancies.
- Receiving, issuing goods and maintaining stores record and bin cards.
- Reconciling the inventory module to General Ledger and Production to sales.
- Compiling stock reports.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES
- Degree/Diploma in Accounting
- Stores/ Purchasing Diploma
- Knowledge and experience with Sage Evolution
- At least 2 years of proven experience managing inventory
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and trustworthy
