Area Camp Manager
Our client within the hospitality industry is looking to recruit a well-seasoned Area Camp Manager to join their team located in Mana pools. The ideal candidate must meet the minimum criteria listed below and must possess the necessary skill set to execute the key responsibilities that follow :
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all team members are used to their strengths.
- Environmental responsibility for the operations of the camp in line with company ethos.
- Pre-plan daily activities using the equipment provided.
- Ensure camp venue and staff adhere to all policies.
- Management of all daily processes and procedures.
- Maintenance oversight of all camp assets and equipment.
- Manage any staff or customer grievances.
- Ensure camp stock inventory is kept up to date and required supplies requested in a timely fashion.
- Increasing footfall at camp by providing excellent service and generating repeat customers.
- Manage the team effectively.
- Ensure all camp equipment is return as received.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years management experience within hospitality.
- Previous camp or lodge management is highly preferable.
- Ideal candidate must hold a Hospitality qualification.
- Bachelors in Business Management would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and time management qualities.
- Critical thinker and problem-solving attributes.
- Strong leadership qualities.

Quality Compliance Manager
Job Summary
The primary role of the Quality Compliance Manager is to provide quality assurance oversight to all Operations Divisions to ensure that they meet set standards, continuously improve processes and products by: –
a) Implementing and maintaining quality systems in the following operational processes: –
- Farm biosecurity
- Egg collection and incubation
- Animal husbandry practices for:
i. Hatch-ling crop
ii. Grower crop
iii. Breeder herd
- Abattoir operations
- Cleaning and treatments
- Stores
- Feed storage and production
- Technical operations
b) Conducting daily quality compliance checks on all operational processes to ensure standard operating practices are continuously and consistently adhered to at site level.
c) Reporting non-conformance’s observed, assist in investigating identified problems and with activities leading to effective root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions.
d) Reviewing systems that monitor on-going processes and identifying improvement opportunities.
e) Work in close liaison with the Operations and R&D teams to ensure that all operations are in line with existing procedures.
Responsibilities
In liaison and agreement with the QA Manager: –
a) Daily monitoring and verification of all operational processes to ensure quality systems are always adhered to.
b) Critically analyzing operational processes with a view to identify non-conformance and improvement opportunities.
c) Timely identification and reporting of quality system non-compliance as well as follow up to ensure that corrective action has/will take place.
d) Maintaining records of QA monitoring and verification activities such as: –
- Daily inspection checklists.
- Non-conformance reports.
e) Report inspection results to QA Manager and recommend adjustments to processes where necessary.
f) Participating in documentation, reviewing and evaluation of the following quality management systems components for improvement purposes: –
- Standard operating procedures;
- Checklists and records;
- Monitoring and verification activities.
g) Making follow ups to ensure identified NCs are action-ed and closed.
h) Conducting internal audits and participating in external audit activities.
i) Ensure record keeping and filing is correct, consistent, and done as per relevant SOPs.
j) Conduct data quality validations for all animal husbandry data captured for the division.
k) Oversee and check calibration status and set up of all monitoring and measuring equipment used in all farming operations e.g., scales, probes, test meters and thermometers.
l) Identifying training gaps and participating in training of personnel to achieve compliance.
m) Assist in herd health monitoring and reporting of any concerns noted to the QA Manager and Veterinarians.
n) Assist in monitoring of ongoing trials to ensure protocols are adhered to and report any challenges noted.
o) Ensuring health and safety requirements are being maintained and reporting: –
- Unsafe behavior
- Near misses
- Accidents
- Unsafe situations
p) Any other duties assigned to them by the QA Manager as necessary.
Deliverables
a) Identification and timely reporting of non-conformance at the allocated division.
b) Regular reports detailing level of compliance with all SOP’s applicable to the allocated division.
c) Maintaining accurate QA records
d) Positive audit results for all audits conducted by internal and external auditors including: –
- Government Departments
- Customers
- International regulatory bodies.
e) Maintain and improve internal and external audit compliance status.
Job Requirements
- A degree or diploma in agricultural sciences preferably animal science/ veterinary sciences/applied biology/biochemistry.
- Knowledge in quality management, environment, health, and safety management systems such as ISO 9001, Global G.A.P, ISO 14001 or OHSAS 18001. Bio-security
- 2 years’ experience in role in that directly involve quality management systems implementation in an intensive farming operation or manufacturing environment. Livestock handling experience.
- The incumbent needs to have good empathy to people / animals. Capable of making independent decisions whilst being appreciative of existing protocols.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good team skills and ability to adapt to different environments. Attention to detail.
- Computer skills- proficient in MS Office packages.
