Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) is an autonomous parastatal under the
Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education. It is an internationally accredited examinations
board. ZIMSEC is an examinations board responsible for assessment, evaluation and
documentation of the academic readiness, learning progress, and skill acquisition of students
at primary and secondary school levels in Zimbabwe. The Council is inviting suitably qualified
and motivated persons for the following vacant position that has arisen.

 PRODUCTION FOREPERSON-FINISHING

Education, Experience
 Apprenticeship training in Print Finishing and Converting
 Class 1 Journeyperson an added advantage
 At least 3 years of relevant experience in a Printing Finishing environment
 Knowledge of principles of Machine Printing
Required Competencies and Attributes
 Supervising skills
 Ability to understand the job, make decisions, organize, plan and control.
 Ability to communicate.

PRODUCTION FOREPERSON-PRINTING

Education, Experience
 Apprenticeship training in Print Finishing and Converting
 Class 1 journeyman an added advantage.
 At least 3 years of relevant experience in a Printing environment
 Knowledge of principles of Finishing Principles
Required Competencies and Attributes
 Supervising skills
 Ability to make sound decisions, organize, plan and control.
 Ability to communicate

PRODUCTION FOREPERSON-PACKAGING

Education, Experience
 5 O’’ Level subjects passed including Science, Mathematics and English
 2 A’’ Level subjects passed will be a distinct advantage
 Class 1 Journeyperson an added advantage
 Certificate/Diploma
 Minimum 3 Years in Examinations Entries Department

Required Competencies and Attributes
 Supervising skills
 Ability to make sound decisions, organize, plan and control.
 Ability to communicate

PRODUCTION PLANNER

Education, Experience

 Higher Diploma or Degree in Production planning and Control/Industrial Engineering
 Minimum of 3 years in a printing and packaging environment and proven experience as a
Production Planner

Required Competencies and Attributes
 Supervising skills
 Ability to understand the job, make decisions, organize, plan and control.
 Ability to communicate.
 Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
 Experience in MRP 11 (Manufacturing resource planning)
 Knowledge of principles of Machine Printing and Machine loading.

SAFETY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT OFFICER

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
 Environmental Studies or Safety, Health and Environment or Related Degree
 Diploma in Health and Safety Management.
 OSHEMAC or SHATCOR I & II an added advantage
 2-3 years relevant experience
 Experience of printing industry environment will be an added advantage

QUALITY CONTROLLER

Education, Experience
 Diploma in Quality Management
 Certificate in Production Control
 Printing qualification
 2 – 3 year’s relevant experience

MACHINE OPERATOR -BRAILLE /TRANSCRIBER

Education, Experience
 Higher Diploma or Degree Qualification in Special needs (with specialization in
Visual Impairment).
 Minimum of one year in a Braille or Embossing transcription environment.
 Teaching Experience is an added advantage

 STORES CLERK

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE
 At least two (2) A-Level passes
 Studying towards a Procurement Qualification.
 Physically Fit person and punctual towards work.
 Prepared to do shift work day and at Night
 Should have listening skills and be able to carry out instructions.
 Be able to work under pressure.

FORKLIFT DRIVER

Education, Experience

 5 O’’ Level subjects passed including Mathematics and English
 Valid Certificate in fork lifting
 1 year experience in operating forklifts
