How can you make a difference?

Reporting to the Deputy Representative – Operations (P5), the Human Resources Manager, within their area of responsibility, is accountable for implementing HR services that enhance the capacity of their clients to deliver on their business goals and objectives. In doing so, the incumbent demonstrates the ability to anticipate HR-related needs and develop subsequent plans and solutions that align HR management with business objectives.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • An Advanced University Degree or equivalent background, in Human Resources, Business Administration, International Relation, Social Sciences, Psychology or related areas
  • Eight years of professional experience in human resources management in an international organization and/or large corporation is required.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is an asset.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance.  Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station, which will be facilitated by UNICEF, is required for IP positions. Appointments are also subject to inoculation (vaccination) requirements, including against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid). Government employees that are considered for employment with UNICEF are normally required to resign from their government before taking up an assignment with UNICEF. UNICEF reserves the right to withdraw an offer of appointment, without compensation, if a visa or medical clearance is not obtained, or necessary inoculation requirements are not met, within a reasonable period for any reason.
