Please note that the duties and responsibilities of a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor and Professor are grouped into 5 main categories which are:
(a) Teaching – the incumbent is expected to teach or deliver lectures in accordance with the Department and or Faculty guidelines and standards.
(b) University Service and Community engagement – the incumbent should participate in all Department, Faculty/School and University activities such as attending meetings, training workshops, conferences and seminars, among others.
(c) Research – the incumbent is expected to engage in active research in his/her area of specialization which benefits both the students and the University.
(d) Innovations – leading to tangible products and services
(e) Industrialisation –through the commercialisation of products
- FACULTY OF BUSINESS SCIENCES
Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Post A: Professor/ Associate Professor/ Senior Lecturer/ Lecturer. (Gweru campus 1 Post, Zvishavane Campus 1 Post)
Qualification
- First degree in the following areas; Entrepreneurship, Business Management, and Marketing Management, with at least a 2:1 degree class.
- Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurship, Master of Commerce in Strategic Management and Corporate Governance, and Master of Commerce in Marketing Strategy. A relevant Doctorate Degree will be an added advantage.
- Have a strong and demonstrable passion for entrepreneurship
Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate must be capable of supervising both undergraduate and postgraduate students’ research work, assessing students on Work Related Learning and must be able to teach the following modules at the undergraduate level;
- Entrepreneurship
- Corporate Entrepreneurship
- Financial management, E-Business
- Strategic Sourcing
- New Product Development
- Corporate Governance and Business Ethics
- Enterprise Risk Management.
Post B: Temporary Full-Time Lecturer (Harare Campus 1 post)
Qualifications
- Entrepreneurship; Business Management, Marketing Management with at least a 2:1 degree class.
