WHO Non-Communicable Diseases Officer
Qualification:
- University degree in Medicine or public health or related field from an accredited/recognized institute.
- Postgraduate degree in Epidemiology or health program management.
- At least five (5) years of professional experience in implementing NCD and their risk factors prevention and control program at provincial or national level.
- Working experience with the WHO or other international experience as well as a minimum of 3 years of working experience in large public health projects would be an asset.

WHO Medical Officer/Focal Point Immunization
Qualification:
- Advanced university degree in medicine or health-related science with post graduate degree in public health.
- Post-graduate training in epidemiology or social science.
- A minimum of ten (10) years’ progressive experience in developing, designing and implementing public health program, including VPDs especially in vaccine development, planning, implementation and/or M&E of immunization program, with a minimum of 5 years inclusive at the international level in Low and/or Middle-Income countries.
- Experience in overseeing implementation, review and updating existing strategies and guidelines and recommending new initiatives.
- Experience in resources mobilization and working with variety of partners at international level.
- Experience in facilitating coordinated approaches to effective program management and implementation.
- •A track record of research, with publications at senior authorship level in academic journals.
- Experience in epidemiology, and disease control in Africa combined with a sound understanding of the requirements of major immunization partnerships.

Educational Qualifications:
- Essential: Work requires completion of secondary school. Knowledge of general administrative and HR Policy theory and procedures.
- Desirable: Training in UN/HR systems is an advantage. Proven skills in drafting and editing required.
Experience:
- Essential: At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources and preferably with several years’ experience in WHO in an administrative cluster to have a sound knowledge of its rules, regulation, procedures and practices as related to the work.

Eligibility Criteria
Education
- Essential: Completion of secondary school followed by administrative training and/or Management.
Experience
- Essential: At least 8 years of experience in administrative support position in a recognized public or private institution.
- Desirable: Experience in administrative support positions within WHO or another UN agency is an asset. Experience in Oracle-based systems or another ERP-like system is an asset.
Skill
- The incumbent will demonstrate mastery; actualize his knowledge in the use of modern office technology through internal courses, on the job or self-training. He / she keeps abreast of changes in procedures and practices, rules and regulations, organizational structure, in Country Office, organic group and WHO, to be able to brief and explain procedures to other members Staff.
Use Of Language Skills
