Unleash Your Leadership Potential: Apply Now to YALI RLC West Africa Emerging Leaders Program – Cohort 44
The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) is an initiative launched by the United States government to invest in the development of the next generation of African leaders. With a significant percentage of Africa’s population consisting of young individuals, YALI aims to identify and empower these emerging leaders.
As part of this initiative, the YALI Regional Leadership Centers (RLCs) have been established across Africa. The YALI RLC West Africa is currently accepting applications for Cohort 44 of its Emerging Leaders Program.
Reasons to Apply to the YALI RLC West Africa Emerging Leaders Program
- Certificate and YALI Alumni Membership: Successful participants will receive a certificate upon completing the program and will become members of the YALI Alumni network, providing access to a valuable community of like-minded leaders.
- Leadership Training: Participants will undergo comprehensive leadership training to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in leadership roles within their respective fields.

Program Tracks Offered:
- Business and Entrepreneurship: This track is designed for emerging and aspiring entrepreneurs who aim to take on leadership roles within the private sector or start their own business ventures in Africa.
- Civil Society Management: This track caters to individuals engaged or aspiring to be involved in civic activities, serving the public through non-governmental organizations, community-based organizations, or volunteerism.
- Public Policy and Management: Tailored for those working or aspiring to work in government, regional organizations, international organizations, or think tanks, this track focuses on leadership roles in public policy and management.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age between 18 and 35 at the time of application submission.
- Citizenship and residency in one of the following West African countries: Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Liberia, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, or Burkina Faso.
- Not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Eligible to receive a necessary visa to Ghana.
- Proficient in reading, writing, listening, and speaking English.
