Amanda du-Pont Suffers Heartbreak After Painful Loss
Popular South African model and television host Amanda du-Pont suffered a heartbreak following the painful loss of her beloved pet dog Dior.
Amanda, who plays the role Nompumelelo “Lelo” Mthiyane on SABC 1 hit show Skeem Saam, tried everything in her power to save her beloved pet and to make sure that she received the best treatment possible. Unfortunately, it was all in vain.
However, the beautiful and talented actress was not impressed by the level of care that Dior received at a local veterinary hospital and she made he feelings known on the matter. Amanda counselled people who love their pets not to take them to Bryanston Veterinary Hospital, warning that the pets could die with no explanation or communication.
The loss was particularly painful for the actress as it comes barely 6 months after she lost her Gogo. While Amanda did not reveal her Gogo’s cause of death, she said that her grandmother had been in pain when she died.
An emotional Amanda took to social media to mourn her beloved pet and to warn people about the apparent poor service at the veterinary hospital she went. Writing on social media platform Facebook, Amanda said,
RIP to my baby Dior💔We lost her last night😠I am broken and have been crying all night.
She had back pain two days ago and we took her to Bryanston Veterinary Hospital to be examined. If you love your pets PLEASE DO NOT take them there you will lose them with no solid explanation or communication. All they say is that she could have had a bad reaction to the anaesthesia, but they aren’t sure.😡
She was the purest soul, tap dancing and picking up a toy in her mouth every time I walk in the door. Slept by my feet always! Loved to be carried like a baby and was no stranger to the soft life. We don’t deserve the love and joy dogs bring into our lives. She loved anyone and everyone.
RIP my baby Dior – Like Pop Smoke, you left us on a high like a legend! Last year was very tough, I lost my gran and my pup-I’m hurting 💔
We hope that 2021 will be much better for Amanda and that it will not have any heartbreaks for her.
