About Climate and Disaster Resilience
Climate change and natural disasters are two of the most pressing challenges facing the world today. These events can have devastating consequences for people and communities, especially those in developing countries.
UNDP is working to build climate and disaster resilience by helping countries to:
- Reduce their vulnerability to climate change and natural disasters. This includes supporting countries to develop adaptation plans, build climate-resilient infrastructure, and improve early warning systems.
- Build the capacity of communities to cope with climate change and natural disasters. This includes providing training on disaster preparedness and response, and supporting the development of community-based resilience initiatives.
