Consultancies Feed the Future Zimbabwe-Crop Development Activity Impact Studies   Linkages for Economic Advancement of the Disadvantaged (LEAD), a local private voluntary organizations implementing Feed the Future Zimbabwe-Crop Development (FTFZ-CD), a five-year USAID-funded Activity running from June 2015 through December 2020. The activity is being implemented in Sanyati and Mhondoro-Ngezi districts in Mashonaland West Province, Gokwe South and Kwekwe districts in Midlands Province; and Buhera, Chimanimani and Chipinge districts in Manicaland Province.   This year (2020) is the final implementation year for FTFZ-CD Activity. To consolidate successes and document lessons learned, and experiences gained from 2015 to date, FTFZ-CD intends to commission four thematic impact studies to assess the stakeholders’ knowledge and perceptions of FTFZ-CD activities; beneficiary adoption of technologies and practices promoted by the Activity, effectiveness and relevance of approaches used, and sustainability of the project impacts. The thematic impact studies should outline how women and youth empowerment concepts were integrated. The studies will cover the following areas:
  1. Good agricultural practices and technology adoption for improved agricultural productivity and production in selected high-value crops, staple grains and legumes;
  2. Improve access to markets, finance, farming as a family business and business linkages with the private sector,
  • Adoption of improved nutrition and hygiene practices;
  1. Building family and community resilience focusing on Chimanimani district.
