Cassava Smartech is looking for a competent Systems Support Analyst to join its dynamic team.

Job Purpose

The role is responsible for the analysis and resolution of service desk support problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and support where required.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following, among others:

  • Interacts and negotiates with vendors, outsourcing partners, and contractors to secure IS products and services.
  • Ensures network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment and other network appliances.
  • Participates in disaster recovery and prepares hardware required for business continuity purposes and sets up in the off-site offices and ensure good working condition.
  • Reviews and tests hardware and software requirements of the company and setup systems accordingly.
  • Analyses security risks and develops response procedures.
  • Conducts research on new products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the information systems industry and makes recommendations.
  • Implements and maintains internal and external Service Level Agreements
  • Records software and hardware asset movement is Equipment, laptops. Desktops, printers, switches, routers or software loaned in the asset register accordingly
  • Implements and maintains any specified network or systems projects.
  • Trains users prior to issuing of new hardware and systems policies.

Qualification, Skills and Experience

  • A Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent. A relevant vocational qualification will be an added advantage.
  • 2 to 4 years’ experience in a similar or related environment.
  • Analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills.
  • Interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to interact at all levels within the organisation and with external parties.
